Centre moots new approach to land acquisition: Naik
NEW DELHI, FEB 8 Acquisition of land for public purpose has, in recent times, led to agitations and violence. Acquisition of agricultural land for special economic zones (SEZs) was opposed in many parts of the country, because of displacement. The central government has since assured citizens that no agricultural land will be acquired for SEZs.
