Centre releases Rs 281.63 crores as additional instalment of tax devolution to Goa

PANJIM: The Government of India released Rs 281.63 crore for Goa as additional instalment of Tax Devolution. 

In view of the forthcoming festivities and the New Year, the Union government has authorised the release of an additional instalment of Tax Devolution amounting to Rs 72,961.21 crore to all the State governments for financing various social welfare measures and infrastructure development schemes. 

This instalment is in addition to the tax devolution instalment due to States on January 10, 2024 and the instalment of Rs 72,961.21 crore already released on December 11, 2023.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has thanked the Centre for releasing the instalment for the State as part of the Tax devolution to the States. It will definitely support the State government to implement various social welfare measures, schemes in the State and enhance the joy of festivities for the people of Goa.
