PANJIM: The office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Goa declared the winners of various competitions conducted to encourage electors to participate in electoral process.
Prizes to the winner was distributed at the hands of Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai at the State-Level ‘National Voters Day’ function held at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.
The Governor felicitated first time voters Pranali Naik, Dabolim AC; Riela Rodrigues, Fatorda AC; Aggie Travasso, Person with Disability (PwD), Fatorda AC; Marina Javed Sahibole, Transgender, Margao AC; Shalini Tukoba Redkar, Fatorda AC; Monica Das, Transgender, Margao; Heena Umar Saihibole, Transgender Margao AC; Mayur Naik, Margao AC, Dhanyata Naik, Margao AC and Zareen Umar, Transgender.
The Office of the CEO awarded Sanvordem Assembly Constituency as the Best Performing Assembly; Best Electoral Registration officer is Gurudas S T Dessai, Deputy Collector and SDO-I Bardez; Best Assistant Electoral Registration Officer Pravin D Gawas, Joint Mamlatdar-II Salcete AC. Josphine Fernandes was also felicitated for providing special services in sign language interpretation, Dr Alaknanda Shingare for KABP survey on voters behaviour and perception in Goa, Dr Sharad Sinha and Team for Development of Voter dost a chatbot on Telegram app, Anyay Rahit Zindagi, ARZ for encouragement of sex workers and Transgenders in electors enrollment.
Ankush Shirodkar, BLO-I Poriem and Bhanudas Gaonkar, BLO-II Canacona for Best Booth Level Officer, Ismail Shaikh Sarad, Vocational Trainer, Guardian Angel Higer Secondary School for Best Performing Electoral Literacy Club-I, Angela de Menezes, Holy Family High School Porvorim Best Performing Electoral Literacy Club II, Roshani Shirodkar secured first place for slogan competition, Gopal Ganapati Panghad for first place for song composition competition and Akshay Amrut Volvoikar first place in Selfie contest.
In Short Film Competition- first place was bagged by film ‘Uttardayitva’, second place ‘Your voice Your Vote’ and third place was bagged by ‘Dishtavo’.
In Short Film Category- Best Director Prasad M Naik took the top honours for the film ‘Uttardayitva’, second Prize was bagged by Kalidas Satardekar and third by Kabir Naik (Dishtavo)
First place in Best Story was bagged by Prasad Naik for film Uttardayitva, second place by Sanket Nhayaginkar and third prize by Devika Sambari (cote for change); In short film competition- best actor (male category), first place goes to Rajiv Hede (The Gambit), second place was bagged by Roopesh Siolcar (Ek Vote), female category- first place was won by Purti Savardekar (Your Voice, Your Vote), 2nd prize to Rati Bhatikar (Dishtavo).
In Slogan Writing Competition- first prize was bagged by Roshani Shirodkar, second prize to Nitin Shirodkar and third to Ajay Hanumant Fondekar.
In Song Composition Competition- first place bagged by Gopal Ganapatti Panghad, second place bagged by Kavindra V Phai Desai and third place won by Durgakumar Shrikrishna Navti.
