PANJIM: As preparedness towards upcoming general elections to Lok Sabha, 2024, the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Altinho-Panjim has convened a meeting with representatives of all national and State recognised political parties on Tuesday, September 5 in Meeting Room, Office of the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Goa Rajya Kar Bhavan, Altinho at 11.30 am.
During the meeting, the Chief Electoral Officer will brief the political parties about First Level Checking (FLC) of EVMs-VVPATs, which is scheduled from October 4 to 13 at the Government Gymkhana, Altinho in respect of North Goa District and in the South Goa district, it will be held at First Floor, Old Collectorate building, opposite Margao municipal garden.
The Election Commission of India (ECI), New Delhi has been issuing instructions on First Level Checking of EVMs and VVPATs from time to time. The FLC of EVMs and VVPATs has to be donebefore every general or by-election to Assembly and Parliamentary Constituency or in any elections where EVMs and VVPAT are used.
The office of the Chief Electoral Officer has requested the political parties to depute their representatives to attend the FLC process.
