ORVORIM/VASCO: Mangalsutra and gold worth a combined Rs 1.30 lakh were stolen from women in separate incidents in Mapusa and Alto Chicalim on Wednesday.
According to Mapusa Police, Reema Naik of Paliem-Ucassaim complained that two persons on a motorcycle snatched her gold mangalsutra worth Rs 80,000. Head Constable S V Naik is investigating the case.
In another incident, Vijaya Bhise of Chicalim complained that two persons, suspected to be in their late twenties, on a motorcycle snatched her gold chain, worth Rs 50,000, and fled from the site. PSI Gautam Salunke is investigating..
