Challenges government to prove that STATE IS FINANCIALLY STABLE

Alleging that the State is going through serious monetary crisis, former deputy chief minister and MGP MLA Ramakrishna (Sudin) Dhavalikar on Friday challenged the BJP-led government to prove that the State is financially stable.
Addressing a press conference, Dhavalikar alleged that bills amounting to crores of rupees are pending to be paid to contractors for works of various departments.
“I challenge this government to prove that they are financially stable. There are serious financial crisis. Government has no money to pay to its contractors,” he said. 
The former minister alleged that government has not cleared bills of contractors of PWD (Rs 330 cr), Sewerage corporation (Rs 135 cr), GSIDC (Rs 130 cr), power department (Rs 80 cr), JICA (Rs 58 cr) and WRD (Rs 70 cr). 
He also said that the government is yet to pay Rs 300 crore to Reliance Power under arbitration and grants to panchayats and municipalities of around Rs 40 crore. 
Dhavalikar said that the government is also yet to repay Rs 290-crore loan to NABARD availed for construction of Atal Setu. He alleged that with lack of finances, some crucial projects like Zuari Bridge, missing link from Verna are delayed.
