PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said they would be making changes to the Griha Aadhar and Laadli Laxmi schemes of the government in the upcoming budget session and would not hesitate to form an all party committee to finalise the scheme.
The demand comes on the backdrop of the opposition legislators raising issues of how the husband’s family used to expect the girl to give the one lakh to him. Some legislators raised the issue that the money should be given to the father of the girl instead, so that he can spend it on the wedding.
Parrikar admitted there was a problem and that he had an ‘innovative’ idea that he would reveal in the budget.
