Charge against 15 Telangana natives toughened to murder

Charges filed after a victim succumbed to injuries

MAPUSA: The fifteen Telangana natives, against who a case of attempt to murder was registered by the police earlier, are now charged with the murder of one Jayesh Bhandari from Sanguem.
According to Calangute police, Jayesh, a resident of Sanguem was critically injured and was undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College, Bambolim for the past 11 days, where he succumbed to injuries on Thursday. 
All the fifteen persons have now been remanded in judicial custody and are presently lodged at Central Jail, Colvale. 
The 15 Telangana natives had assaulted four persons, including Jayesh and room-boy Remy Rebello, manager Abhilash Patil, and Raju, who worked in Jude Guest House located at Tivaivado, Calangute.
On New Year day, when the group of 15 was standing outside the guest house, a fight broke out amongst themselves and in a bid to resolve it, the guest house staff tried to intervene. However, the group then attacked the hotel staff.
All the injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital.  While, three persons were discharged after initial treatment, Jayesh remained in a critical condition.
The 15 Telanagana natives are now booked under Section 302 IPC and their names were given as K Darshan, A Shrinivas, Prashant Reddy, Sayyed Usman, Sayyed Badiruddin, Purushottam Reddy, Narasimha Reddy, S Ajay, D Shrinivas, C Krishna, M Kiran, B Anjaniyelu, Bhopal, Devanand Anjaya, and Anjanaih Baliah. 
PI Jivba Dalvi is investigating the case.
