PANJIM: All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary A Chella Kumar, who was in Goa to troubleshoot the problems in the party, is expected to come back after the Legislative Session; this time to begin planning strategies for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and tour all the 40 constituencies of the State.
“I will be meeting the party cadre in all 40 constituencies to plan strategies for the Lok Sabha polls. We will meet the locals in every constituency and address public issues,” Kumar said speaking to Herald from New Delhi on Thursday.
The AICC Secretary has already had several rounds of meetings with the Congress legislators, leaders and the block presidents during his two-day visit to Goa on Tuesday-Wednesday. The key reason was basically to settle the differences between the party legislators, majority of whom were reportedly upset with Leader of Opposition Pratapsing Rane for not being up to the mark in taking up the issues raised by the party and for allegedly capitulating to ruling BJP over the issue.
Chella Kumar while downplaying the rift within the party said “everything is well and all are united”.
