PANJIM: The Pernem police on Monday arrested a 43-year-old for allegedly possessing drugs valued at Rs 15 lakh approx.
The alleged accused identified as Sivakumaran Vedachalam Sundaramurthy from Mylapore in Chennai (Tamil Nadu) was on the police radar since past few days.

As per the police sources, they received a tip off about ongoing drugs activity in a resort at Arambol based on which the team led surveillance on the accused. He was caught red-handed with 1.5 kg marijuana in the raid at the venue.
He has been remanded to police custody and undergoing interrogation.
