PONDA: Vinaykumar (Sanjeet) Narayan Savoikar, 56, a teacher by profession and resident of Chimulwada Marcel, committed suicide at his residence by hanging himself to a ceiling fan with help of dupata. The incident took place between 3 pm and 4 pm on Monday evening.
It is learnt that he was a maths teacher at one school at Marcel. He is survived by mother, son and daughter. Ponda Police conducted a panchanama and sent the body to GMC for a post-mortem.
