MARGAO: A 35-year-old worker on board a fishing trawler suddenly collapsed and subsequently passed away on Tuesday. According to Cuncolim PI, Tukaram Chavan, the deceased, identified as Roshan Baxla from Chhattisgarh, was working on the trawler at the time of the incident.
It was reported that Baxla collapsed while being in an intoxicated state. He was immediately rushed to the Primary Health Centre in Balli, but unfortunately, he did not survive. The police have preserved his body at the South Goa District Hospital in Margao for postmortem examination.
A case of unnatural death has been registered under Section 174 of CrPC.
