VASCO: The Chicalim Village Panchayat will soon install CCTV cameras at all religious places in its jurisdiction following incident of miscreant/s damaging the glass panel of St Anthony Cross, at Chicalim, on Thursday night.
The Vasco Police have also decided to write to the Chicalim Village Panchayat in this regard.
Panch Nilima Naik on Saturday said that in the next panchayat meeting she will move a resolution to install CCTVs at all religious places. She suspected that Thursday night act could have been done by an outsider.
Vasco PI Kapil Nayak had on Friday said that he will write to the Chicalim Village Panchayat to install CCTVs around religious places and also at strategic points.
He said that CCTVs are vital and give a good lead in such cases and help police to monitor the movement of criminals in its jurisdiction.
