The PWD Chief Chemist has not yet cleared the underground water line hit by contamination as safe for supplying water. The local PWD office continues to receive complaints from beleaguered water consumers for not receiving water as the line is still choked with dirt.
PWD Assistant Engineer Vijai Kudchadkar said that though his office is waiting for the green signal from the Chief Chemist to release water to the consumers, many consumers have reported that the line is still choked with dirt. “We have sent our personnel to rectify the faults. Water will be released only after a nod from the Chief Chemist,” Kudchadkar said.
