MARGAO: The Water Resources Department, Biodiversity Management Committee of Chinchinim and the Goa State Biodiversity Board officials conducted the survey and ground truthing of bundhs of Chinchinim, recently.
The bundhs enlisted by the WRD namely Deuoun, Dona Cholquo Khasan, Ambolem, Sal Tolem, Naikinicho Agor, Khirbhat, Addi Bundh Sucaldem, Poda Agor and Muncaracho Agor. The stakeholders present complained that there is a need to repair bundhs because of increase in salinity which destroys the cultivation and also leads to growth of mangroves in the areas.
