Chinchinim-Deussua P’yat urges GSIDC to speed up construction of p’yat ghar

MARGAO: The Chinchinim-Deussua Village Panchayat has requested the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) to accelerate the construction process of the proposed panchayat ghar cum multipurpose complex in Chinchinim.

During a meeting held on Tuesday with GSIDC Managing Director Harish Adconkar, a delegation led by Valentino Barretto, the Sarpanch of Chinchinim-Deussua Village Panchayat, and panch member Frank Viegas, discussed the long-pending project.

According to Barretto, the GSIDC is still waiting for government approval to proceed with the project, which has been in the pipeline for some time. The panchayat body will now approach Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, to expedite the approval process.

After the resolution passed at the gram sabha on Sunday, citizens have applauded the efforts of the panchayat body to hasten the construction of the panchayat ghar cum multipurpose complex.
