CUNCOLIM: The complaints against the scrap-yard located at Sucaldem, Chinchinim has been taken up at the Salcete mamlatdar office for arguments.
There have been complaints against the yard run by Time Wise Waste Management citing various concerns such as the place being a breeding ground for mosquitoes and lack of sanitation facilities for migrant labour.
While the health department is looking into the mosquitoes breeding issue, an inspection done of the site a few years ago had found that there was no toilet facility for the workers. But the proprietor Michael Beny Da Costa denied it.
