MARGAO: Chinchinim Deussua Panchayat had reportedly constituted its Village Development Committee along with other committees at the gram sabha held on September 3, clarified Deputy Sarpanch Valentino Barretto.
At the said gram sabha the three Standing Committees, the Child Development Committee, the Garbage/Waste Management Committee, the Health, Sanitation & Nutrition Committee, Road Safety and Traffic Management Committee, Biodiversity Committee, Ward Development Committee and the Village Development Committee were constituted.
However, the Sarpanch Flory Pereira apparently misunderstood the question of whether the VDC was constituted to whether the VDC has met and that is why she had said the meeting is scheduled on October 14 where the village development plan will be discussed.
