CHINCHINIM: Chinchinim village panchayat with support and cooperation of locals, after dueling on various options, have arrived to an unanimous decision to have their dream Village Panchayat Ghar cum multipurpose project.
This project which panchayat is planning to setup in acquired place at Chinchinim is waiting to come in to reality. If BJP government sanction the financial approval to Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) to start the project it can be a dream come true for Chinchinim villagers. They have high hopes on local MLA and cabinet minister in Dr Sawant government, Filip Neri Rodriguez to get the financial approval for the same.
Village panchayat has acquired all the necessary permissions from various authorities to start this dream project. Panchayat got approval from gramsabha, and NOC and various licenses from Town and Country Planning department. They have also acquired the required No Objection Certificates and permissions from Health Department and approval from Government. They are only waiting financial approval from the government.
This project will be divided into two wings—Wing A and Wing B.
Wing A will have the Panchayat Ghar project where on the ground floor there will be well-equipped panchayat office with conference room for panchayat body and other facilities. On the same floor there will be Post Office and Cafe.
In the first floor they will allot space for Electricity Department. They will also carve out space for village library and a unique conference room will be built for self-help groups and for other government schemes.
On the second floor there will be a well equipped hall which can be used to organise entertainment programmes and also can be used for commercial purpose to generate revenue for panchayat.
Wing B is kept for multipurpose sports complex. This block will be exclusively for fitness and sports purpose. There will be indoor games halls, gymnasium, mini indoor stadium and hall.
Beside this panchayat has also planned a Senior Citizens Corner and small children park. Village panchayat is very optimistic about the future of this project. Panchayat body has unanimously accepted this iconic project and they wish to see this project in reality.
Panchayat has kept everything in order waiting for government to release the required fund and if everything goes well this people friendly project will soon see the daylight.
