AICC Secretary and Congress Panjim candidate Girish Chodankar has dared Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to make the documents, which he claims as ‘confidential documents against the Opposition’ public.
“Why is he (Parrikar) waiting for seven days? He should make the documents public right away,” Chodankar said on Thursday.
Parrikar had charged the Congress of trying to sabotage the election process, and said he had submitted confidential information to the Election Commission of India (ECI) demanding action within the code period.
Congress has also moved the Chief Electoral Office (CEO) at Altinho demanding action into a complaint filed against the BJP workers at Panjim police station on Wednesday. In its fresh complaint lodged with the CEO on Thursday, Congress has alleged that the police are shying from taking action and hence the election office should intervene.
Chodankar also alleged that the complaint filed against Congress workers was fake, and demanded that the complainant should face action for the false complaint. Both the parties had filed complaint and cross complaint against each other on charges of threatening, outraging modesty, etc.
