CURCHOREM: Clarifying his statement on Carnival, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar has said that he is not against the celebration of Carnival by people individually, but the government has to tell the people whether it is necessary for the State to officially celebrate the festival when the nation is mourning the death of 40 CRPF personnel.
“This government is always talking about patriotism and nationalism as if others are not. And when the prime minister was needed by our army the most, he was busy in a booth meetings, launching app, and now the State government is also busy with carnival, wine festival and Sunburn,” Chodankar said.
