Cardiac ambulance inaugurated at Sanguem PHC

SANGUEM: The much needed facility of an emergency room and a cardiac ambulance facility were inaugurated on Thursday at Government Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Sanguem by local MLA Prasad Gaonkar.
Sanguem Municipal Chairperson Romualdo Fernandes attended the event.
Earlier this month, Health Minister Vishvajit Rane had assured to provide these facilities at the Sanguem Primary Health Centre. Besides, Rane had also promised to provide Cardiac Ambulance to the centre. 
Both the facilities were inaugurated on Thursday with much fanfare. The inaugural function was also attended by Assistant Director Health Services Dr Roopa Naik, Health Officer Sanguem PHC Dr Jyoti Fondekar, Navnath Naik, Vice Chairperson SMC Fouziya Shaikh, Queroz Cruz and others.
On the occasion, Gaonkar thanked the health minister for providing the facilities.
Gaonkar also claimed that the foundation stone for the new hospital building would be laid by end of May and this would alleviate lot of the difficulties of the people of Sanguem.
