CHORAO: Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar has announced that the foundation stone for the proposed Chorao Bridge will be laid before the Assembly elections.
He was speaking at a special function organised by Devki Krishna Devasthan to felicitate North Goa MP and Ayush Minister Shripad Naik and Speaker Anant Shet at Madel Chorao, recently.
Stating that BJP is committed to its election promise, he informed the gathering that the proposed bridge is on hold due to land acquisition problems towards the Bardez side. He blamed the erstwhile Congress government for making the land acquisition process difficult and assured a solution to the problem within two months.
Earlier, Shripad Naik and Anant Shet were felicitated by Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza and Parsekar with shawl, shrifal and memento.
Mayem Zilla member Shankar Chodankar, devasthan President Mahesh Vaigankar, Gurudas Shet and panch Arti Bandodkar were present on the ocassion.
Gurudas Shet welcomed while Subhash Khandeparkar compered.
