BICHOLIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has announced reduction in the cost of special ferry on Chorao-Ribandar route by Rs 150.
According to the information provided by the BJP spokesperson, Premanand Mhambre, the reduction of cost of a special ferry was a long pending demand of the people.
“Dr Pramod Sawant, at the request of Mayem MLAPravin Zantye; Mayem BJP Mandal committee and Chorao village panchayat has announced reduction of special ferry charge from Rs 250 to Rs 100,”said Mhambre.
It may be stated that the ferry is used not only by the people from Chorao but also from Mayem and Bicholim. In case of emergency the people had to book special ferry at night which cost them Rs 250 one way.
