Chovtho Makodd a tiatr penned by Mario Fernandes, directed by Freddy Fernandes and presented by Nuem Sports and Cultural Club (Nuem-Khola) revolves around the fourth monkey, who is involved in misdeeds.
Taking inspiration from the three monkeys who refuse to see, hear and speak evil, ‘Chovtho Makddo’ throws light on the humanity and the misdeeds that destroys the home and society.
Despite involvement with her lover, Tilda (Tilda da Costa) is forced to tie the knot with a rich businessman, Brandon (Baptist Crasto). They are blessed with the gift of a child, Osler (Osler Dias), whose finds an easy entry in films due to his extra-ordinary talents.
Ill-health prompts Brandon to take his only son to Dr Venny (Vilton Coutinho) for treatment. But Tilda’s encounter with the doctor accidentally at the clinic leads to refreshment of those sweet past memories.
Arguments and counter-arguments between Brandon and Tilda on account of Dr Venny result in misunderstandings, rift between the duo, followed by divorce.
Now, will Dr Venny and Tilda succeed in rowing the boat together and reach their destination? How does Dr Venny misuse his profession for his glory? What is Brandon and Osler’s fate? These queries find answers during the second half of the drama.
Throughout the first and second half of the drama, except for the concluding scene, the viewer is clueless about who the fourth monkey is and what his duty is. The concluding  scene at the court room also looked dull initially, due to fewer dialogues among the participants. Despite a few hiccups here and there, ‘Chovtho Makodd’ had some interesting dialogues.
Tilda and Baptist have been quite expressive in their husband-wife character and dialogue delivery. Vilton displayed confidence in doctor’s garments. Vishwas Pagui was in command as the film director. But among all, teenager Osler Dias drew instant attention for his prompt act and emotions.
To tickle the funny bone, the comic acts had enough content, but VIP (Mario) and Concesanv (Zelia) failed to infuse laughter among the audience.
In the category of songs, Osler delivered the opening chorus confidently and in style. One quartet highlighted the burning issue of garbage, with a suggestion as its solution. Other songs that received applause included duets by Johnson/Valanka and Alzira/Johnson, and a choral by Natalie and Riya.
