MARGAO: With the Chowgule higher secondary school dilly dallying in filling up all the 200 seats for XI Science stream, the Director of Education on Thursday warned the management of “hard” action if the admission process does not begin from Friday.
Deputy Director of Education, Ramkrishna Samant, made his presence felt in the Chowgule higher secondary and conveyed the message from the Education Director that the department will initiate action against the school.
“When I discussed the delay with the Chowgule college Principal Dr R V Gaonkar, he said that the list of students who will be given admissions has gone to the management for approval,” Samant said.
Incidentally, the deputy Director of Education said that he has asked the Chowgule HS to reduce the cut-off percentage for XI Science admissions by atleast two per cent so that many student get admission in the school. “When this was conveyed to Mr Gaonkar, he said he would place the matter before his management for decision.”
