MARGAO: Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao, who was present at public hearing for CZMP held on Thursday demanded that concerned authorities should come at the village level in order to know the ground reality.
He asked what would be the future of the fisherman and the locals if the 2018 notification allow land reclamation for setting up ports, harbours and roads?

“The CZMP map which was prepared in 2019 never showed any port limits. The map with port limits holder in consideration. A few days back we noticed the statement that the port limit has been removed from CZMP plans but the question is where is the gazetted notification?” he questioned.
