PANJIM: Churchill Brothers’ prayer for ‘waiver of relegation’ from the I-League was finally answered as the All India Football Federation (AIFF) decided to allow the relegation immunity of the club from the 2018-19 season.
The decision to waive relegation of Churchill Brothers FC was taken at the Emergency Committee meeting held in New Delhi on Tuesday.
“The Emergency Committee meeting after receiving your prayer and the observations of the League Committee decided to waive relegation of Churchill Bros FC from the Hero I-League for the season 2018-19”, says the letter by AIFF to the club.
