MARGAO: Saying that the BJP is afraid of him as the Lok Sabha polls were round the corner, former PWD Minister Churchill Alemao has accused Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar for fooling the people of Goa and asserted that the people of South Goa will teach a befitting lesson to the BJP in the 2014 elections.
He has demanded Parrikar’s resignation as Home Minster, holding him responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation.
Addressing the media, Alemao said that the Chief Minister has failed to bring about any development in the last two years, adding “leave alone Goa, Parrikar has failed even to build proper roads in Panjim. He may be washed out from Panjim if Assembly elections are held now”.
He said the government has even failed to repair roads built by the Congress government and charged
the Chief Minster for only claiming credit for the works initiated by Congress.
