MARGAO: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Churchill Alemao vociferously condemned the VHP statement to ban beef consumption in Goa. He said beef is the staple food of minorities in Goa and VHP cannot think of stopping its consumption as it would amount to an attack on the minorities.
He said Goans are well endowed to decide what is good for them and what is not and hence such utterances can have no effect on the Goan psyche except to create a few disturbances for some time.
