MARGAO: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Churchill Alemao said party chief Sharad Pawar endorsed his views on extending support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to form government in Goa and argued that the show cause notice issued by the party to him is null and void.
Referring to a news item by the Press Trust of India that quoted Sharad Pawar on the government formation in Goa where Pawar was quoted as having said that Churchill Alemao supported the BJP to avoid re-election in Goa.
Besides, Sharad Pawar is also supposed to have raised the issue of Congress, despite having the largest number of MLAs, failed to form the government for three days due to which other parties shifted allegiance to the BJP.
Churchill pointed out that he was the lone NCP candidate of the 17 fielded to have won the elections besides all other 16 candidates did not even secure their deposit.
