PANJIM: CII in press release issued late on Friday appreciates Goa government’s effort in initiating measures in the interest of industry. CII and industry, are working shoulder to shoulder with the Government, in tackling the massive tsunami of COVID infections across the State and the country. Industry is lending a helping hand by augmenting the critical oxygen supplies and bed capacities. CII also appeals to all member pharma companies to augment the production capacities of medicines and other medical supplies in order to fight this pandemic.
The release mentioned that CII has been working together with the Government and medical experts, to work out the best possible way to steer through this crisis. “In the interest of industry, a complete lockdown in the state would cause grave economic losses and hardships due to abrupt stoppage of industry functioning, disruption in the working process line of various industries which are already struggling due to the consequences of the earlier lockdowns,” read the release.
CII urged that all responsible corporate should strive to protect their employees and ensure that their employee balance sheet remains healthy.
