PANJIM: Goa government has issued a circular restricting officers from attending meetings at the personal residences and offices of elected representatives.
The circular, signed by Under Secretary (GA-I) Varsha Naik, says it is issued after the trend was brought to the notice of Chief Minister which caused inconvenience to the people.
“In order to ensure that the functioning of the offices of various departments is not disrupted, the guidelines are issued for strict compliance,” the order states.
The order adds, “Except ministers, who may conduct meetings in their office or official residences, all such meeting shall be held at the offices of the concerned departments or in the office of District Collector, Deputy Collector & Sub Division officer.”
It also states that no site visit by officials with public representative shall in done without the prior approval of the HoD.
