21st century connectivity needed at Dabolim airport

I’ve been a regular traveler from Dabolim Airport for more than two decades now. I thought, or at least that’s the impression I got, that things would change for the better, of course after the new airport terminal was constructed at a cost of a whopping sum, in 2013. However, since then, I doubt things are any better than what they were when one used to travel from the now redundant Naval make-shift airport base.
I don’t really want to get into all other aspects such as the chaotic parking, amateur-ish airport/airline staff (more busy on their mobiles than customers) or an always empty AAI office, but just this one issue of non-connectivity of phones. In the past there used to be a free service of 30 minutes, but that too has disappeared over a period of time.
I think it’s time to wake up. We are well into the 21st century and the world has moved on. Can passengers at least get some free wireless time before they take off? Or is it too much to ask?? The Government keeps on harping on “Smart Cities” and “Vibrant India”. I have my doubts!
