Accident-prone turn near Olaulim cemetery

In the jurisdiction of Village Panchayat  Pomburpa-Olaulim in Ward No 1, there exists a narrow road turn near the Olaulim cemetery from the time of colonial rule but it still remains undeveloped.
On several occasions, the road division authority had tarred the road but fail to widen the narrow turn for the safety of those using this road. The bypass road leading to Mapusa route used by two wheelers, four wheelers light cars, good carriers and heavy trucks to connect the main road ahead which reduces 1.3 kms distance, but causes great inconvenience to the traffic movement when goods carriers and heavy trucks coming in opposite direction, leaving no way on the road, and most dangerous at the mouth of the turn.
To zero down the traffic inconvenience, there is a need to install two sign boards at the mouth of turn and other at the exit out point as “No Entry” for goods carriers and heavy trucks. It is evident from the facts that several accidents take place here. Is the village panchayat waiting for a fatal mishap to happen and then awake from its slumber and plan for the safety of this road?
