The daily commuters travelling via Chorao road frequently encounter stray cattle sitting on the roads.
Especially in darkness, the bikers and motorists find it extremely difficult to detect these cattle. This could lead to serious consequences and even result in the loss of lives. It is a real nuisance when the entire herd of cattle gather and squat on the roads and the two-wheelers and the four-wheelers have a really tough time to go past these cattle in the darkness. There are times when cattle just come rushing through the nearby hills on the road and many pedestrians too have been injured due to this. Why can’t the owners take their cattle to safety in the cow sheds instead of putting the lives of travellers to risk?
The owners are sitting in the safe comfort of their homes least bothered about the risk the daily passengers have on these roads. I am of the opinion that strict action needs to be taken against the owners of these stray cattle. Will the authorities please do something?
