This site in the heart of Vasco town in a prominent and busy location near the marketplace was proposed for a building project by the civic body. It appears that until the work for the project commences, this spot is being used as a garbage collection point and a place to dump disbanded municipal trucks.
However, the spot presents a sore sight for the citizens. In the recent past, the municipal councillor had put up a green netting all around in order to cover the ugly sight. However, now the netting has been shred at various places, as seen in the photo, and the garbage is also seen strewn on the pavement.
The authorities need to take necessary steps to shift the black-spot to another location and beautify the area till such time the work of the proposed project, which is pending for several years, actually commences.
