In Ponda, the concerned authorities had undertaken digging work for laying of sewerage pipeline. However, it is rather unfortunate that this work is still found to be incomplete.
At some spots, digging portions on road have not been asphalted or tarred as yet. With the onset of rainy season, commuters proceeding along various locations face great inconvenience and trouble. Pillion riders remain to be the worst sufferers in the process.
At some locations, potholes have been noticed and there is every possibility of mishaps taking place sooner or later. This is bound to result in adverse consequences (seen in the picture is one such instance that was recently noticed at Tisk). As on Saturday, situation in this regard was found to be unchanged.
With such a pitiful situation, precious human lives have been subjected to great risk and danger. It is absolutely necessary for the concerned authorities to tar the excavated portions on priority basis so that safety is assured to innocent commuters on a permanent basis.
I hope the higher officials at the concerned department will take a note of above serious situation and initiate immediate favourable action to assure necessary relief for the commuters and pedestrians once and for all.
Indeed, commuters at large must be assured safety at all costs.
