The issue of a damaged portion of road along Tisk-Khadpabandh route in Ponda was published in this column on February 18.
Subsequently the concerned authorities were quick enough to place a barricade at this strategic spot.
Such a positive step would enable the public to remain cautious while proceeding along this busy route.
Nevertheless it is absolutely necessary for the concerned authorities to repair the damaged portion of road on top priority so that motorists and pedestrians are assured safety on a permanent basis.
Let us hope that necessary favourable action would follow in this important matter in public interest.
