Mapusa is the capital town of Bardez Taluka. It was once a pride to do shopping here particularly on a Friday for its uniqueness of Friday bazaar. But not so anymore of late with all the roads being dug up and left incomplete or the completed work is covered up with mud and gravel. This condition is causing hardships to the general public who at their own risk, left with no other alternative, visit the city for various purposes. Be it North, South, East or West there is no respite, one cannot find way out to escape.
What is most surprising is the lackadaisical attitude of the local MLA, who is not doing anything in the interest of the safety of life of the citizens. If you’re visiting the Mapusa town, you better be careful and ride or drive cautiously.
