Everyone complains their landline is dead, internet not connecting, when complained we have to wait long or are left with no solution to our grievances. But bills keep coming to be paid on time, if late, the machine recorded message keep reminding for early payment. The following month bill comes with penalty added.
One subscriber said, the BSNL only keeps collecting our dues but gives no prompt service. Rightly so, the Porvorim Exchange Office once active with staff, linemen and sundry workers is today a haunting place with the compound gate closed but only a poster reading “BSNL Connecting India”.
One wonders, how this public sector undertaking exists with most subscribers having disconnected their subscription and where is all the money going that is collected online or at the post office. Is BSNL now disconnecting India, a question many want to be answered?
