We are in a fast-growing communication world. But, when it comes to BSNL, it’s hard to believe how much it is slumbering.
My landline got cut by a branch of a falling tree on May 10.
I called the local area lineman and was told he was on leave. Then I visited the BSNL office at Porvorim to give a written complaint, but I am given to understand there is no staff to attend my call. Then I met the in-charge who explains the internet package instead of assuring me to restore my landline immediately. I am now without my telephone for the past one week. It is interesting to note, however, the BSNL outdoor staff works without any facilities and the required equipments.
When the telephone complaint is attended subscribers have to provide a ladder, screwdriver, screws, insulation tape, cloth, at times even a blade.
However, the only best service we get is a regular and monthly bill, which comes on time every month, with a warning to pay the bill before the stated date ‘or your telephone line will be disconnected’ .
One wonders what digital age is this, with this type of BSNL service .
and high technology advancement?
