On September 25, 2018, we had published a letter titled ‘Remove Creepers over Electricity pole’. With reference to this letter, Neelakanta Reddy (Chief Electrical Engineer, Electricity Department, Panjim) mentioned that the report was called from the field officer and it is informed by the Sub-Divisional Engineer, Sub-Division II, Sanquelim that the pole shown in the paper clipping is a streetlight pole on the Amona bridge and the same is maintained by Public Works Department, Ponda and does not pertain to Electricity Department. However, as a courtesy, creepers are removed by engaging Electricity Department line staff.
