While proceeding from old bus stand in Ponda towards Farmagudi, a dry tree lying in a leaning position has been noticed for last more than a month. The enclosed picture amply depicts this fact. In case the tree comes crashing down then it would definitely lead to adverse consequences for motorists in particular two-wheeler riders and pedestrians as well. In order to avoid destruction of life and property, it would be advisable for the concerned authorities to chop this leaning tree on priority basis. Let us hope that prompt favorable action would be initiated in this serious matter in public interest. No doubt, precious human lives must be assured safety at all costs.
