An electric pole in the vicinity of Bank of Baroda at Varkhandem, Ponda has been covered with branches of an adjoining tree. This dangerous situation has been existing for quite a long time. Although, the maintenance vehicles of Electricity Department proceed along this location, still this important matter has remained unattended.
During winds, there is every possibility of a short circuit taking place due to the branches touching live electrical wires. This is bound to result in adverse consequences.
It is need of the hour for the senior officials at the Ponda Electricity Department to take a note of this serious matter and arrange chopping of branches covering the electricity pole so that normalcy is achieved in this regard. Let us hope that prompt favourable action would follow in assuring safety to one and all.
