I humbly request the concerned authorities that the felled tree trunk, which has been lying on the road side, near the Benaulim Panchayat hall, for close to two years be removed.
Besides, being an eyesore, it is also a breeding ground for diseases and stray dogs and pigs defecating on it. Also it is a potential hazard for the vehicular drivers during the night since it is hardly visible as it is covered by foliage.
Mosquitoes breed in the hollows of the felled trunk and the site is also used for dumping excess garbage by the garbage segregation agency adjoining the Post Office.
A nice lawn with flower beds and a gazebo would add value to the area once this tree trunk is removed. It could serve as a waiting area for visitors to the Post Office and panchayat hall. Unfortunately, my emails to the concerned MLA of this area have evoked no response.
