At many locations in the State we come across garbage dumped along the roadsides. Such a situation levies ugly appearance to the concerned locations.
Travellers and pedestrians too are confronted with unhygienic conditions from time to time. Seen in the picture is garbage along the road leading from Varkhandem towards Farmagudi in Ponda. The same remains uncleared for long.
Since cleanliness is very much essential for a healthy living, the concerned competent authorities should shoulder the responsibility of clearing the dumped garbage on a regular basis. Let us hope that prompt positive action would follow in this important matter in public interest.
