Due to ongoing construction of a waste treatment plant, adjoining the Benaulim Village Panchayat all the trash has been dumped in open in front of the post office and a milk retail centre, which is housed in the building.
Tonnes of trash packed in black polythene bags and tied up plastic waste are seen piled high on the ground and the place stinks to high heavens at the slightest hint of rain.
A baling machine installed on the ground seems to be more of a sculptural entity than serving any useful purpose.
I would request the village authorities to shift this eyesore marring beautiful Benaulim to someplace not accessible to public and dispose it off at the earliest.
