Clear the rubble from GMC-Bambolim highway

New concrete road construction is underway in many parts of the State of Goa, but the road contractors are oblivious to the condition of the service roads.

The Bambolim slope that extends from Café Coffee Day downhill is no less than an off-roading adventure for the vehicles especially the two-wheelers.

Amateur, uninformed and elderly riders find it difficult to manoeuvre through the rubble scattered on the slope, often resulting in loss of balance. There is no smooth transition to and from the service roads onto the tarred road. This situation is compounded by the narrow width road left to the general traffic.

In the State of Goa that receives 280 cm of rainfall per year, the authorities often turn a blind eye towards their responsibility of constructing better quality road infrastructure for the general public. Hope better sense prevails.
