Despite sending umpteen reminders to the Colva Village Panchayat, local MLA, government authorities and even the Chief Minister, the all but collapsed approach steps to Sernabatim Beach are not being repaired, putting the lives of beach goers in danger.
Almost the whole structure has disintegrated by wave action and the remaining portion is shaking; minor injuries have been sustained by users but it has had no effect on the powers that be. I would request some corporate houses to take up the reconstruction on a corporate social responsibility (CSR) basis programme before we lose a life to the government’s negligence.
